Oh, January!

January was a good month, except for the writing. Such is life, and I certainly can't complain. This was the month I saw a lion dance practically performed in my lap and cooked my most successful crock pot meal to date, Flemish beef Carbonnade. Sweet!

Oh, but I must not live in denial. Here, in gory detail, is my status report:

Stories written: Three

1.The Boy Band (still waiting for the green light from Australia to submit)

2.Intent (submitted to Nossa Morte)

3.White (submitted to the Hideous Evermore anthology)

Rejections: 15 (wince)

Acceptances: 1

Stories sent: 17 (More than were rejected, woot!)

Ah well, a new month means a new chance! I have three shorts planned for February, Ying helped me go over a map of Hong Kong and figure out where my character will be frolicking off to. Or rather, how he will frolick from point A to point B. And here's a good sign, I don't have to do anything in Aberdeen Harbor! I know that sounds random, but trust me, it makes my life MUCH easier. Then a quick story about Alaska, with a Devil's Food finisher (terror in Hong Kong!)

A merry new month to one and all : )

It sounds like we had the same month but February will be a killer. We will totally kick ass in the next month and rule the acceptances while we banish the rejection letters to a little place in the back of a fish market known more for food poisoning than the fillets.

I am so far behind - how is everyone managing to submit over a dozen stories a month?

It's not like you lot don't do anything but write. I mean, you all have a life outside of the keyboard.

Could it be that my study, and my reviews are taking too much time away from my writing?

@BT: I know, I was just thinking the same thing! I'm reading everyone's month end stats, and I just got trounced!

Natalie - all the best for February.

Remind me to avoid fish for a while.

Oh that 'Hideous Evermore' anthology looks so cool - kudos for getting something out to them already.
