Funny enough, the scene it inspired never made it into the story. The character did, of course, I quite like him, despite his flaws, and would love to use him again some day.
As many of you know, I usually come up with a character then get to the specific of how they look. Every so often, however, it goes in reverse. That is part of why photography fascinates me: You don't always see the person that was standing in front of the camera.
Now it's your turn : )

A collection of photos that helped me add a scene to my book... http://englishrussia.com/?p=532
hmmm. I don't know if a picture has ever inspired a story out of me. I am usually inspired to write by a single line of dialog.
I'm a visual person so love using photos for stories. The last was the coffin couch photo which has inspired Absinthe for the Soul, which still has only a part of the first draft finished.
Totally agree about the character thing-- sometimes it definitely goes backwards with the looks for me too. It's rare, but it has happened.
That is an adorable picture. I can already see why you'd want to make this guy a recurring one :D
Cate: Wow...those are amazing. I keep expecting to see a Vampire lurking in the background.
Katey: Adorable AND flawed! I just want to smoosh his face.
