Calm Before the Storm

See? By using the right title, you can make anything sound intense and kick-ass. I am useless (by design) this weekend. I think traveling, plus some unexpected bursts of creativity, wore me out. I've been getting up later and later, which frustrates me. So I'm useless. Monday I will return to a glorious explosion of creativity, as detailed below:

1. Go over the stories Ying edited, and polish them for submitting.

2. Take my story "Monster" and make it something something great.

Ok, so this is mostly editing. Which can be very creative, if you made enough mistakes the first time. In other news, I have an idea for a novella. I have put my previous novella attempt on hiatus, since it isn't ready. It even has it's own soundtrack : ) What it doesn't have is a plot, or a plan beyond the first chapter. Which is where the soundtrack comes in.

My last novella, "The B-Team", has a character born out of my love for Tokyo (and specifically the Yoyogi Park Rockabillies). This novella will be the whole love letter.

A novella that is also a love letter. Should be a blast to write. Have fun! :)

That's a neat idea...basing a novella on a soundtrack that inspires you. Mind you, a plot is a good idea as well.

I like a soundtrack to a story. Sometimes it's just one song that I play over and over.

I loved the post about the B-Team inspiration with the park rockabillies. I can't wait to see what it handed you, story-wise.

Enjoy the novella. My current soundtrack is 'Once More With Feeling' - I hope Joss Whedon would approve.
