I managed to somewhat edit one story this week. Once they are all edited/submitted, I can breath. The fact that it took a week to almost finish this one bothers me. But the story was a mess, and there was no way around it. The others are much more solid, all I need to do is fix some grammar and do some tweaking. Including the new one I wrote yesterday, because it's not like I have novels to edit or anything.
With so much on my plate, I'm grateful that "Ocean" is nowhere near ready to be written. As tempting as a new project is (bright shiny!), if I ever want to have a novel published I have to, you know, polish/query/sell one. And so, just to remind myself:
1. SOUL JERKY
2. Active Imagination
3. Toxic (gay erotica)
4. The B-Team (novella)
5. The Underground
Can you tell I'm the type to hoard things a bit too long?

Funny, I just wrote a similar blog on perpetual editing and the lure of the bright, shiny!
Great minds, I tell you!
Natalie,
a pro market just opened for gay lesbian horror (it was originally an invite) and goes bricks and mortar. See DL Snells Maket Scoops for your story if you want!
I need a Natalie Sin book.
Get to those novels, Natalie. I totally envy your wealth of first drafts.
Yeah, if it weren't for reminder lists like that, I'd be lost in the dark. It's nice to know I'm not alone.
I'm with Aaron. "Natalie Sin" would look cool on a book cover.
New projects are always so tempting, damn them. I'm impressed that you can edit a story in a week. I must be more productive and take less than a month to edit a short story.
