There are some things I don't understand about human nature. Why, in the midst of chaos, death and destruction, some people try to make money off other people's suffering and compassion. Then there are people who go online to tell the world that what happened to Japan is karma. They make me ashamed to be a human being. As a Buddhist, it makes me sick that they would use the concept of karma to justify comments that can only be described as maliciously hateful.
They are in the minority. Far more people are heart broken over the devastation. To everyone who gave money, or wished they had the money to give, you make me proud to be a human being. Don't underestimate the power of simply letting it be known that you support Japan, that you believe they can stay strong. Thanks to modern technology, we can let them know that the world is with them.

Absolutely. Those haters make me embarrassed to be in the same species as them. They have the brainpower of worms and the morals of imps.
I haven't read or heard anything about the haters, which is probably just as well. The events in Japan are upsetting enough without contending with other shit.
I saw some of those stupid tweets (thankfully no one I know because they wouldn't have been on my twitter feed for long) and they left me sick. I have to say, those idiots aside, this disaster has shown how wonderful most people are, how their immediate thought is how they can help and how dignified the Japanese people are amidst all this tragedy.
Some people suck. Most of us are just trying to do the best we can.
K.C. nailed it, worms and imps.
And for the easiest possible way to give a few bucks:
