Reading "In the Pool" by Hideo Okuda and enjoying it very much. I'll review it at Skunk Cat Book Reviews when I'm done. Usually I do horror, but this book deserves a shout out.
Though I don't review every book I read, way too much pressure, I admit I have been very bad about reading. My enthusiasm was peaked by a recent trip to a thrift store, where I bought an old book with "sexual/racial themes" from the 1970s. I also bought a thriller, whose plot wasn't described (it was an advanced reader copy). I don't know if I'll ever write a thriller, but I'd like to know more about them.
In other news, I am sure you all know what is happening in Japan. The American Red Cross is currently accepting donations to help (thanks to Aaron Polson, for the link).
Japan, I love you. Stay strong.

The pictures coming out of Japan at the moment are nothing short of harrowing. I hope things settle soon. Thanks for the link.
Doing what we can to help.
I hear you on reviewing books = pressure. Terrible, terrible news about Japan and everytime you switch on the news it just seems that little bit worse.
Agreed. Awful news from Japan. I'm worried about the this trend with the Pacific Rim countries. THanks for the links, Nat (and Aaron).
Agreed too. Every little bit helps.
The book sounds awesome, from your review. Very interesting and different.
The news from Japan is so agonizing. We're donating to Doctors without Borders (or my mom is; I have to wait until my next paycheck).
<3 (and $) to Japan.
The pressure to review sucks, and sometimes makes me not want to finish things. Sometimes it's just nice to leave a note in the blog and be like "Hey, I read this thing, it was awesome!"
But sometimes, we gotta go in depth. So go Team Natalie!
