Bad to be

Apparently, Kaito was only the beginning. Hotaro was waiting in the wings for his own chance to run around Tokyo getting into trouble, eating food that makes me hate myself, and meeting the kind of men that make me trip over my own feet. Because I like the background to be pretty, before I splatter it with blood. This novella is mostly in the developmental stage: four chapters in, and I realized that I needed to do a lot more brain storming. Luckily I have OCEAN to edit, and I already miss those characters.

In any case, I'm not surprised that Hotaro was waiting. I wrote about a hero, now I want a anti-hero. Not that Hotaru is a bad guy. He's very sweet, despite his many many issues. However, after being weak and powerless for almost thirty years only a monk would wake up a better, stronger man and decide to stay the course. Hotaru has tasted the sweet sweet nectar of unbridled violence and wants more. He just doesn't know how much yet. As for the man in his life, I'm not sure if he's going to be a good influence or a bad one.

Meet Aoyama, the pale man. It's hard to imagine him not in a suit, and I'm not sure he ever will be (nudity excluded). He's like a cat: capable of great loyalty and affection for the right person. Everyone else should be afraid.

Nice. Except for the pale man. I, too, am afraid of him. This sounds very cool. Sounds like a good idea to let it simmer for a while.

Cat characters are always my favorite. They're so sweet--until they eat your face off.
