I'm Alive!

With my father's visit last week, and being sick for a few days, I have not been on my blog in a long time. I've barely written anything, and my muse feels battered, bruised, and broken. Long story short, I hate having OCD. But this blog isn't about my anxiety disorder, so you can breath a sigh of relief ; ) I will find my way back, it's just that being sick magnifies everything and the last few months have been hard. Why? No fucking clue. I have been focusing on my Buddhism more, which has helped. I meditate daily now (until I got sick), and I am way more conscious of the bullshit in my head. Of course, monks use much nicer language. Here is a video of one talking about how he and his friends used to sneak out of the temple to see movies. Whatever faith you are, this is adorable:

Good to see you back on the up and up, Nat.

Very amusing. I know so little about Buddhism but it seems a very calming religion.

I could do with a dollop of calm. Take care.

I'm glad to hear you're feeling better. I have an aunt who's a Buddhist and she's a pretty calm person (although she was probably pretty calm to start with).

Glad you are alive.

I'm glad you have found some solace in meditation.

(I have to sneak out of my temple, too)

Glad to hear that your Buddhiism has helped. Hope your muse feels better soon. That was a great interview. Funny what passes as 'bad behaviour' in some cultures.

I'd love to pick your brain about the OCD one day, Nat.

Take care, Nat. :) I really need to get my lazy arse back into meditation properly. Calm is good.

The little monks who lived next door to us in Kathmandu used to sneak over and steal my friends' underpants when she hung them out to dry. It was hilarious.

But yeah. I'm there. Big time. Mad, mad sympathy.
