I started a short story, based on a picture I saw yesterday. Most of the time, when I see a picture of a person or a band I like I see the person/band. Every so often, however, I see something else. Sometimes it's later, when I have a character in mind and I need a face and body to go with it. I have pictures on my computer right now, of "characters" in my current WIPs: Kaito and Aoyama-san. Kishidan fans will recognize them as Hikaru (sans regent) and Ranma. I'm a big Kishidan fan, but I don't see them in those pictures any more. I don't see them in this picture either:



This is for the best. If I wanted to imagine Hikaru doing the kinds of things Shino is doing, he and every other member of Kishidan would have every reason to take out a restraining order on me. The same goes for other Japanese bands, some Rockabillies in Yoyogi Park, and King from DJ Ozma. That said, I'm not sure how Hikaru and Pancho would both testify against me in court.

In other news, I haven't gotten any submissions for my Grand Contest yet. Don't be shy, people. All pictures of Ranma are good pictures. Here, to remind you, is what Ranma looks like:
